Grace College and Theological Seminary

The Inner Circle

Prayer requests
Marjorie Foote tribute

Jesus never had favorites, but He did have intimates.

Peter, James, and John were with Him at the healing of Jairus’ daughter (Mark 5:37), on the mount of transfiguration (Mark 9:2–10), and in Gethsemane (Mark 14:32–35). Simon Peter and the sons of Zebedee were His most intimate friends on earth. He especially longed for their companionship when He prayed in Gethsemane (Matthew 26:36–38). They became known as His inner circle.

Grace College and Seminary is seeking those friends of Grace who will pray fervently and specifically for the campus and its ministries. Many positive initiatives have been launched at Grace, including

  • the cooperative nursing program with Bethel College,
  • the Orthopedic Scholar Institute (OSI),
  • and the construction of and final fund-raising for the new Orthopædic Capital Center.

However, unless God is in it, not one initiative—no matter how well planned or designed by humans—will succeed. “Unless the LORD builds the house, its builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain” (Psalm 127:1).
