Once you have considered your college choices and decide to apply to become a Grace student, the earlier you apply the better.
Grace provides an Early Action Admission (non-binding) for candidates who apply by December 1 for the following fall term. As an early applicant, you will receive notice of the admission decision and preliminary scholarship notification within three weeks after your application is complete, including forms and transcripts.
Regular Admission is available for those who apply after December 1. If you choose this option, you will receive notice of the admission decision and preliminary scholarship decision within three weeks of completing your application, on a rolling basis beginning January 15.
Applicants receive one of four decision letters: admit, deny, defer (for additional information) or wait list. Students on the wait list will be considered for admission at a later date if places in the class are available.
To apply, simply complete and submit the online application. In addition, you will need to download one form: (1) the School Reference and Transcript Request form should be given to your guidance counselor or other official at your high school to complete and mail to us with your official transcripts. Grace waives its $30 application fee to applicants who apply online, but if you prefer, you also may download the application, complete it, and mail it with the application fee or fax the completed application and mail the application fee separately. More detailed application instructions are found on the online application and downloadable application form.
All first-year freshmen applicants are required to take Scholastic Achievement Test (SAT) or the American College Test (ACT). Your high school guidance counselor can provide dates and locations for either test. An official copy of either ACT or SAT scores must be submitted to us before you are admitted. An official copy of your scores may be obtained from your high school or by request from http://www.act.org or http://www.sat.org. The Grace College code numbers are 1198 for the ACT or 1252 for the SAT.
Once your completed application, school reference, transcripts, and official ACT or SAT scores have been received in our Admissions Office, your application for admission to Grace College is complete and will be evaluated by the Admissions Committee. On rare occasions, the Admissions Committee may ask for additional information before making its decision. The Admissions Committee will provide notification regarding the status of your application. If you have any questions, contact the Grace College Admissions Office at (574) 372-5100, Ext. 6008.
Once you are admitted, a place in the class can be secured by submitting a $200 enrollment deposit by the May 1 National Reply Date. Housing assignments are prioritized by date received. The deposit is refundable until May 1. Deposits received after the May 1 reply date will be accepted on a space-available basis only
Once you have been admitted, you will be asked to download and submit your Admitted Student Reply Form.
During the application process, you also will need to find out about scholarships and financial aid. We have provided a convenient online Financial Aid Checklist that will help you with this process.
