Get a jump start on college!
If you are a high school junior or senior and your high school GPA is at least 3.0, you may take a total of 12 credit hours as a Jump Start student at Grace College. Juniors may take three credit hours per semester; seniors may take up to six credit hours per semester. Jump Start registrations are subject to approval by the Registrar. To go beyond a total of 12 credit hours, a student must make a petition with the Jump Start Coordinator. Students will be allowed to take 6 more credit hours, but must have maintained a 3.0 GPA both in high school and at Grace.
The Jump Start program can help you to earn dual credit for high school and college, earn accredited transferable college credit, and take advanced courses that are not offered at high school level.
You may apply by filling out this Jump Start application. A listing of courses available through the Jump Start program is shown further down on this Web page. To find dates and times when specific courses are being offered, click here.
If you have any questions about this program, you may contact the Jump Start Coordinator, Jay Johnson, at 800.544.7223 ext 6004, or at johnsowj@grace.edu. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
